Dal 2019 abbiamo sostituito le barriques inserendo tonneaux da 500 lt. in legno di rovere Francese.

Ruby red, clear, with purple reflections typical in a young wine.

GENUINO ANCHE AL PALATO

Vino ottenuto da uve biologiche.

The first taste has red and black fruits hints, such as sour cherry, plum, blueberry and blackberry combined with violet.
The wine has some spicy, refreshing hints even though 2017 wine of the year wasn’t aged in wooden barrels
Appreciable acidity and tannin content. The persistance of the taste is good, with hints of red fruits, as sour cherry, plum and blueberry.
L’UVA DI UNA VOLTA

You can notice the genuineness of the wine. Steccofino 2017 and 2018 is San Giovese for most, Merlot, Canaiolo and Ciliegiolo, as it used.

The grape were planted in the 60s in San Martino in Vignale (Lucca) which is 150 meters high on sea level.

 

Fields are south exposed while rows run east. Half hectare has producted not more than 10, 11 quintals of wine, from which we got 6 quintals that are gonna be bottled in february.
USE ONLY BIO CERTIFIED FERTILISERS
In our vineyard, we use only bio certified fertilisers and plants are treated only with copper and sulphur without any herbicide. The lawn is mowed with little tools “frullino” or “trincia”. Prunings are all made manually with scissors using the Guyot method.

Stapparela bottiglia almeno un paio d’ore prima di servirlo.

Si abbina
con le carni rosse, gli arrosti, i primi piatti con sughi di cacciagione o di carne, formaggi stagionati

 

Per le caratteristiche organolettiche della vendemmia 2018 si suggerisce di provarlo, meglio se in buona in compagnia a fine cena davanti al fuoco di un caminetto.
